Missions

Riverview Baptist Church is honored to play a big part in worldwide missions. Riverview Baptist Church supports over 350 missionaries in over 70 nations. This is done through a system of giving known as Faith Promise giving though which the church is giving over $650,000 this year.

Church members are kept up to date on our missionaries through the “Send the Light” broadcast on KOLU and through letters sent from the field. These are used to make praises and payer requests known to the people, who then carry these needs to God in prayer. The church also sends out birthday and anniversary cards monthly to missionaries to encourage them in the work of God.

Each year Riverview Baptist holds a missions conference which is highlighted by Bro. and Mrs. Mike Patterson. These and other missionaries come to encourage us in our giving and to challenge us to do greater things.

This year we are hoping to expand our support to over 400 missionaries in over 100 countries around the world. Recently, church members donated supplies for a medical trip to the Amazon Basin and gave nearly $14,000 for a missionary to start an orphanage in a closed country.
